Riopelle Artist Collective

Lyz was a contributing member in the Riopelle Artist Collective in Detroit's Eastern Market from 2014 - 2018, after which the building housing the space was sold and the collective disbanded. Riopelle regularly hosted art shows featuring the work of the artists who used the space as a studio, as well as local artists. As a collective, Riopelle artists taught art classes in the shared space, hosted music and poetry events, and participated in events such as Eastern Market After Dark, Detroit Design Festival, and Dally in the Alley together. The collective also exhibited as a group at the Mott Community College Gallery in Flint, MI, and the Saniwax Gallery in Kalamazoo, MI.
